THE VERONDA-FALLETTI RANCH'S HISTORY

In 1990, the Sonoma County Agricultural Preservation and Open Spaces District was created to preserve agricultural land and open spaces by acquiring interest in appropriate properties from willing sellers. In 2008, the City of Cotati applied for the District’s Competitive Matching Grant Program to acquire the Veronda-Falletti Ranch, thus ensuring this property would remain a protected natural resource and community asset in the heart of Downtown Cotati. Ten years later, the City of Cotati entered into a License Agreement with Farmster to operate a Demonstration Farm with educational programming, thus expanding the properties value and accessibility to all Cotati and Sonoma County Residents.
